Read Hotmail from Outlook

I know I mentioned the Outlook connector the other month and I finally got round to installing it onto my mate Hil’s machine.  Wow.  total simplicity.

On starting Outlook, the wizard politely told her that it had found her Hotmail account and did she want to connect?  Pouf!  All sorted.  simple as that.

So now she has two accounts, one for her old BTconnect account that only lets her receive mails and her other Hotmail account to send and receive mails.  She’s rather chuffed at this.

Underneath the Send button in Outlook 2007, there’s a button that says “Account”.

All she needs to do is select her Hotmail account as the sending address and she’s away.

I’m impressed at the simplicity in setting this up, she really didn’t need any help at all.

So why aren’t more of our products this easy to set up?…

OCS 2007 Learning Portal

I’ve noticed that Microsoft learning have published their OCS learning portal with resources for  OCS, books and sessions.  I’m not too impressed with the name “clinic” though, but at the moment I can’t think of another name that would suit better.  Thomas has published details of 3 new courses for OCS that are soon to be released. aHR0cDovL2kubWljcm9zb2Z0LmNvbS9nbG9iYWwvN2QwY2Y4NjYtYjIyMi00MTFjLTgzMTAtM2Q4YmRkNmQ4NmQ3LnBuZw==.html

It also needs to sync up with the OCS Tech Centre site too, and the home page too, and if you want to have a nice overview of the architecture, then the VOIP mag has all the basics for you…
