March 2014 at Dell. Event 12

Dell hosted this event at its offices in Bracknell. It had a full house of highly engaged people and some top notch workshops.

Once again, we hardly changed the agenda timings. Based on Feedback we ran two sessions back to back to maximise the opportunity for attendees to go to as many different workshops as possible. We also decided to try a slightly different format and holding the Keynote at the end of the day.

Our agenda for the day looked like this:

  • 13:15 Welcome & Intro – Tim Griffin- VP – Dell
  • 13:45 Break out 1
  • 14.45 Networking break
  • 15.15 Breakout Session 2
  • 16.15 Review of sessions
  • 16.30 Keynote – Vanessa Vallely, CEO http://Wearethecity.com

Our breakout sessions focused very much around the “Pay it forward”movement.

We had four breakout sessions repeated after the break:

  • Gender and Leadership – Perdita Hunt
  • Pay it forward workshop – Vanessa Vallely
  • Building your networks a must for business success – Alyse Ashton.

The feedback for the session was really inspiring for our team. Here are a few quotes from the attendees:

“It was an inspirational event, especially the keynote. I particularly enjoyed the panel discussion, the panellists had a good mix of different experiences which i found incredibly interesting. The intro by Tim Griffin also gave me food for thought, an afternoon well spent!”

“Vanessa Vallely – was inspiring – I got a lot of energy from her session”

“Inspirational.provoked me to consider what / how I could change”

“As a young / new starter in the industry it was great to meet like minded people / how they have got to where they are today and learn from their experiences”

“First event i have attended in a while that I feel I had real food for thought and things to take back to work and an opportunity to do something different”

“Made me think about my own contributions and commitments to society at large”

This was yet another fantastic event with some great networking opportunities for the attendees. The CWT project team have proved time and time again that they can collaborate on a project that does not fall in anyone’s work remit and drive it to success.

Well done everyone, I look forward to the next event at Intel in October 2014!
