Virtual Labs for Office Communications Server 2007

Cristin, who works in the OCS Online media team at corp has alerted me to the new set of virtual labs that we’ve produced for Office Communications Server 2007.  Very timely indeed as I’m still wading through loads of emails since I alerted people to the fact that we actually have an offering in this area.   (Sometimes I wonder if some people know that we have a fairly large website  and there are several search engines out there which point to our Unified Communications page if you type in VOIP and Microsoft.  Obviously some people who subscribe to our TechNet newsletter don’t interact with us in any other way.

However, I digress. Here’s the information:

New Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 TechNet Virtual labs

Experiment with the newest features and familiarize yourself with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 in a free, online virtual environment.  TechNet Virtual labs are simple—no complex setup or installation is required.   The Office Communications Server 2007 topics of our newest Virtual labs are:  deploying and configuring, enabling users and installing, configuring and using conferencing, using management and troubleshooting tools, and compliance and archiving.  We also have a new Exchange Server 2007 Virtual lab on configuring the Unified Messaging Server.  Check out the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Virtual labs here:

The latest Virtual Labs to be added are:

Exchange Server 2007: Configuring the Unified Messaging Server

Deploying and Configuring Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007

Enabling Users and Installing Office Communicator 2007

Configuring and Using Conferencing in Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007

Using the Management and Troubleshooting Tools in Office Communications Server 2007

Compliance and Archiving in Office Communications Server 2007 .

so working through all of these labs will give you a good look at all the benefits of OCS 2007, and will give you a good grounding for implementing VOIP

Let me know which lab is your favourite, or if you have any suggestions for future Virtual Labs I can pass on to the team…
