Oh Heck, Another meme. This one was forwarded by Anna who I met last month. I really struggle with these as I feel that with my current job, that everyone knows everything that there is to now about me and there’s nothing left that’s remotely interesting or worth talking about. So I’ve got to deliver 8 random things about me. I’m going to just brain dump the next 8 things that come to mind whilst I’m working:
- I love ginger cats. I have 5 at the moment and would have more if any needed a good home.
- I hate doing my expenses. I do them once a month – only when I get my credit card statement and the bank statement at the same time. I sit at my desk looking forlorn surrounded by loads and loads of scrappy receipts, and a stapler. Thank goodness that my Outlook calendar is totally up to date and everything matches up perfectly.
- I’m 5ft 3 inches tall. 1 inch too short to actually join the merchant navy (where I spent 10 years). They said I’d grow taller. I didn’t.
- I giggle over really silly jokes. My current favourite is: “What’s the difference between a fireman and a soldier? You can’t dip a fireman in your egg” This joke will be totally lost on people who don’t come from the UK…
- I’m left handed and can write quite well backwards so you can see the letter in the mirror. I used to write to my boyfriend like this when I was at sea. It used to drive him mad. We split up.
- I love Lemon or ginger flavours. Yum.
- I don’t understand edlin. Now that’s an admission for a techy. I started my IT career at DOS 5.0. I didn’t have the nerve to admit this until I became an MCSE.
- I collect handbags and shoes. Hang on, that’s not random, that’s what most women do. Perhaps it’s random to own up to this addiction instead of hiding the purchase and pretending that we’ve owned the shoes for ages and ages, which is also what most women do…
