Unified communications devices

I’ve finally got one of these devices to play with.   Here’s the newsfactor story that announced things.  James has been calling me from his phone recently and the quality is really good.  Julian sounded like he was talking on skype the other day (loads of latency) , but I think it was my device that has the issue.  I’ve got the Polycom Cx200 which Mark talks about here…

So the downsides?

The phone device is too big to lug around in my laptop bag. So what do I use when I’m working from home?

It beeps when I get a new mail – only cos I haven’t learned how to turn alerts off yet…

And the benefits? – Oooh loads.  (see the video here for some concepts and some scree)
