This is an interesting infographic from the Get satisfaction blog showing how the huge numbers participating in social games are giving the games makers a great revenue opportunity.
With in game adverts and tokens (like the promotion from 7 Eleven last year) and the altruistic donations to charity and for good causes, social gaming brings a collaborative online behaviour which benefits more than just the gamer.
I think that these games, and the next generation of mobile socially connecting games that will hit our phones in the next year or so, will bring collaborative applications and social gaming one step further – with the advertising providers rubbing their hands in glee.
